Navajo Yei Weaving

Navajo Yei Weaving handwoven by Navajo (Diné) weaver, Rose Yazzie. The weaving depicts three Yei figures surrounded by feather elements against a warm brown background. 

Within Navajo tradition, Yei are spiritual beings associated with healing and ceremonial practices, invoked by medicine people through prayers, songs, and other ceremonial rites to help restore health and harmony.
