Old-Style Zuni Whipper (Sipikne) Kachina carved and painted by Hopi artist Brennan Garcia. Sipikne is a disciplinarian figure associated with order and proper behavior during ceremonies, traditionally carrying whips or switches used symbolically to correct misconduct. This old-style carving features a long tapered form with painted geometric designs, featherwork, and a prominent feathered ruff surrounding the face.

Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this figure includes a string on the back for wall display.
