Turquoise Earrings

1990s Navajo sterling silver post-and-dangle earrings by Esther Wood, set with square natural American turquoise cabochons displaying blue-green color and matrix. Each stone suspends a smooth teardrop-shaped silver dangle. Signed “Esther” and “Sterling” on the reverse.

Esther Wood (Navajo, born 1946) learned silversmithing from her aunt, Elsie Platero, and her work is represented in the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
