Hopi Eagle Kachina Sculpture, Kwahu, by Hopi artist Kurt Ovah. The Eagle Kachina embodies the strength, courage, and keen vision of the eagle. As a bird capable of flying high into the heavens, the eagle is traditionally associated with carrying prayers between the earthly and spiritual worlds.

Hand-carved from cottonwood root in the form of a multistory Hopi Pueblo structure, with the Eagle Kachina positioned above. Finely carved and painted throughout and signed by the artist.
