Blue Star Kachina

Large Old-Style Blue Star Kachina (Sakwahote) by Lloyd Honhongva, carved in a traditional hanging style with a full feather backpiece and detailed painted regalia. Blue Star Kachina is associated with celestial symbolism and appears in relation to stars and the sky within Hopi tradition. This example has a strong, elaborate presence, with layered feathers, shell accents, and a painted staff extending above the head.

Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this figure includes a string on the back for wall display.
