1975 Navajo Burntwater Weaving

1975 Navajo Burntwater Weaving handwoven with hand-carded, handspun, and vegetal-dyed wool. The Burntwater style developed around the Burntwater Trading Post in northeastern Arizona and became known for a broad range of vegetal-dyed colors. This weaving is a wonderful example of the subtle earth tones associated with the style.
