Mastopf Kachina

Hand-carved from cottonwood root and hand painted by Hopi artist David Jensen, this Mastopf Kachina is depicted in a dancing motion while holding a rabbit stick and a feathered staff. David studied under renowned Hopi carver Cecil Calnimptewa, and his work reflects that strong carving tradition through its careful craftsmanship and attention to detail.
