1940s Navajo Yei weaving with four Yei figures surrounding a central corn plant, surrounded by a Rainbow Guardian. The figures hold ceremonial objects and are rendered in vivid shades of blue, green, pink, orange, purple, and black against a warm cream-colored field.

Yei weavings emerged as an important Navajo pictorial tradition during the early 20th century. Their stylized figures represent the Holy People of Diné ceremonial tradition, while elements such as corn refer to growth, nourishment, and continuity.
