Vintage Navajo sterling silver cuff bracelet dating to the Fred Harvey Era, ca. 1930s, set with natural American turquoise. The openwork band is decorated throughout with hand-stamped Southwestern motifs, including arrows, geometric designs, and Whirling Log symbols.
The Whirling Log is a traditional Southwestern Native American symbol associated with movement, good fortune, healing, and the cyclical nature of life. Its use in Native American art predates the 20th century and WWII by generations.
