Navajo Blanket Revival Weaving

Navajo Blanket Revival rug woven in natural grey and black stripes, with red panels holding serrated cross motifs in ivory, grey, and black. Bands of diagonal ivory and red accents run between the panels, and wide black bands finish each end. Blanket revival weavings draw on the striped wearing blankets of the 19th century, when Navajo weavers made blankets as garments before shifting to rugs for the trading post market.
