1960s Crown Dancer Bolo Tie
Tribe: Zuni
1960s Zuni bolo tie featuring an Apache Crown (Ghan) Dancer, finely inlaid with turquoise, red coral, jet, mother of pearl, and abalone shell. Handmade in sterling silver using traditional stone-to-stone inlay techniques, the figure is depicted with a radiating crown headdress and holding ceremonial wands, symbolizing the Apache Mountain Spirit dancers. The bolo is fitted with a Bennett clip backing and paired with a 48” braided black leather cord finished with sterling silver tips. A striking example of mid-century Zuni figural inlay work representing the Apache Ghan Dancer.
