1920s Crystal

Circa 1920s Navajo Crystal weaving with hand-carded and hand-spun wool, featuring a natural undyed wool field with bold aniline red accents and deep brown and black outlining. The design is composed of stacked geometric elements, including serrated diamonds, stepped forms, and a central diamond motif with radiating hooked elements, all arranged in a balanced, vertically oriented layout. The soft, variegated tones in the background wool contrast with the crisp, graphic patterning, characteristic of early Crystal weavings.
