1960s sterling silver watch cuff attributed to Zuni jeweler Dan Simplicio (1917–1969). The wide cuff is set with natural turquoise and Mediterranean coral and features Simplicio’s distinctive applied silver leafwork, stamped accents, and an undulating snake design with turquoise-set eyes. The bracelet is unsigned but was purchased directly from Dan Simplicio in the 1960s.

Simplicio learned silversmithing from his uncle, Juan DeDios, and became one of the most innovative Zuni jewelers of the mid-20th century. He worked with influential trader C.G. Wallace at Zuni Pueblo, who became an important collector and promoter of his jewelry. Simplicio is particularly recognized for combining natural turquoise and coral with sculptural leafwork and snake imagery.

The original cuff has been professionally fitted with a brand-new Timex Indiglo watch, allowing this historic piece of wearable art to be enjoyed as a functional timepiece.
