1970s Navajo Cigarette Case
1970s sterling silver cigarette box case by Nicholas Gambino (Morongo Mission Indian), produced at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Arizona under the influence of Kenneth Begay. The hand-fabricated rectangular form features a hinged lid with subtle stamped border designs and a clean, modernist aesthetic characteristic of White Hogan silversmithing. The face is stamped with the “MT” cattle brand of the original owner, who commissioned the piece and from whom it was acquired. The underside is stamped with the White Hogan hogan hallmark, “NG,” and “Sterling Hand Made.”
