Gold on Silver Corn Stalk Pendant
Tribe: Hopi
1980s gold on silver pendant by renowned Hopi artist Victor Coochwytewa, featuring a stylized corn stalk rendered in 14k gold overlay on oxidized sterling silver. The dynamic, angular shape and finely etched lines give the design a sense of upward growth and movement, reflecting the importance of corn as a symbol of life, sustenance, and prayer in Hopi culture. The pendant hangs from a 14k gold rope chain with a secure lobster clasp. The reverse is stamped with Victor’s hallmark and the Kopavi shop hallmark.
Part of the historic Kopavi Collection, this pendant has never been previously owned.
