Handwoven Bird Pictorial (Tree of Life) Weaving made by skilled Navajo Weavers husband and wife Bruce and Nadine Nez. This weaving, depicting a contemporary rendition of the traditional corn stalk design, features a tree with outstretched branches emerging from a ceremonial basket and surrounded by colorful birds. Rainbow Yeis / Rainbow Guardians border the central design. This weaving uses hand-dyed yarn using vegetal dyes for a striking contrast with the background of natural undyed wool.
