1890s Navajo Transitional weaving in homespun wool, with nested serrated diamonds in red, orange, gold, brown and ivory, framed by banded stripes at each end. Transitional weavings mark the period when Navajo weavers shifted from blankets to heavier rugs for the trading post market, often blending traditional banded layouts with bold new aniline colors. Minor wear along the side edges.
