Prayer Feather Bola Tie

1980s Sterling Silver Bola Tie with Hopi Overlaid Prayer Feather (Paho) Designs. The bola tie is finished with a clamp backing, sterling silver tips, and a 40” black leather cord.

This piece is by award-winning Hopi silversmith Bernard Dawahoya, born in 1935 in the 2nd Mesa Village of Shungopavi. In 1998, Bernard was designated as an Arizona Living Treasure. He passed away in 2011. Bernard Dawahoya passed on his skills to his daughter Berna Koinva and her husband, Anderson Koinva and they continue to create beautiful Hopi overlay jewelry in Bernard’s style.
