Number Eight Turquoise Bolo Tie
Tribe: Navajo (Diné)
Distinctive sterling silver bolo tie by award-winning Navajo silversmith Allison “Snowhawk” Lee (1958–2022). The contemporary rectangular slide is set with a large natural Number Eight turquoise cabochon from Nevada, displaying a pale blue field with fine brown webbing and reddish-brown matrix. The stone is framed in a handmade twisted-wire bezel, while deeply recessed parallel lines add a clean, architectural accent to the polished silver.
Instead of a traditional round cord, the bolo features a unique double flat-leather design with black leather on the front and turquoise-blue suede on the reverse. Handmade sterling silver tips and adjustable fittings repeat the linear design of the slide. The piece is signed “Allison Lee” and stamped “STERLING.”
