1960s Zuni Turquoise Inlay Necklace

1960s Zuni Sterling Silver Necklace by Lloyd and Jennie Salvador, featuring three handmade silver stations set with Natural American Turquoise in traditional channel inlay. The turquoise is cut into elongated teardrop- and leaf-shaped sections, separated by fine silver channels and framed with twisted-wire borders and applied silver drops.

The necklace is finished with a handmade sterling silver link chain and bears the artists’ signature on the reverse. The bold turquoise color, sculptural silverwork, and substantial three-part design make this an especially distinctive example of mid-century Zuni jewelry.
