14k Gold Shalako Kachina Pin and Pendant with Hopi Overlaid Designs. The Shalako Kachina is a magnificent and towering Kachina that brings sacred rain to the desert. Its headdress represents rain clouds and thunder, and the feathers on the body represent the falling rain.
This beautiful pin/pendant was crafted in the 1970s by Hopi artist, Dean Siwingyumptewa (Snow Clan). Signed with Siwingyumptewa’s hallmark, the Kopavi mark, and marked 14k.
Part of the historic Kopavi Collection, this piece has never been previously owned.
