In Navajo symbolism, the Horned Moon is associated with protection and is often understood as a guardian figure, appearing in traditional sandpainting imagery and related ceremonial designs.
The reverse is fitted with both a pin clasp and pendant bail, allowing the piece to be worn either as a brooch or pendant.
