1940s Navajo Yei weaving with four Yei figures surrounding a central corn plant, surrounded by a Rainbow Guardian. The figures hold ceremonial objects and are rendered in vivid shades of blue, green, pink, orange, purple, and black against a warm cream-colored field.

Yei weavings emerged as an important Navajo pictorial tradition during the early 20th century. Their stylized figures represent the Holy People of DinΓ© ceremonial tradition, while elements such as corn refer to growth, nourishment, and continuity.
