Turquoise Bear Paw Bola Tie
Tribe: Hopi
Sterling Silver Bear Paw Bolo Tie with Natural Turquoise Mountain Turquoise by Victor Coochwytewa.
This striking bolo tie was created by renowned Hopi silversmith Victor Coochwytewa in 1976 and showcases his rare use of the shadowbox technique. The sterling silver bear paw design features a beautifully set natural turquoise stone from the Turquoise Mountain Mine in northwestern Arizona. Framed by oxidized recesses, the turquoise sits at the heart of the paw motif, symbolizing strength, protection, and guidance.
The piece is completed with a figure eight backing, a 47” black leather cord, and matching sterling silver bear paw tips. The reverse is stamped with Kopavi’s rare Bicentennial bell hallmark, used exclusively for exceptional pieces made in 1976, marking this as a commemorative and highly collectible work.
Part of the historic Kopavi Collection, this bolo tie has never been previously owned.
