Navajo Turquoise Crow Mother Pendant

Navajo sterling silver Crow Mother Kachina pendant by Toby Henderson, featuring a highly dimensional figural design accented with a natural turquoise cabochon. The figure is framed by a dramatic feathered headdress, with individually formed and hand-stamped silver feathers, applied silver elements, and a hand-textured bail.

Henderson’s feather detail is built from numerous individual hammer strikes, creating dense texture and giving the piece a strong sculptural quality. The layered construction, oxidized recesses, and raised silver elements add considerable depth.

Toby Henderson was a Navajo silversmith known for elaborate figural silverwork, particularly Kachinas and ceremonial figures. He passed away in 2019. The pendant is signed “TH” and stamped “Handmade Sterling Navajo.”
