Miniature Badger Carving

Early 2000s miniature Badger carving by award-winning Hopi artist Nuvadi Dawahoya. Hand-carved from cottonwood root, the compact figure is painted in muted gray, brown, white, and orange tones, with ceremonial elements and natural feather accents.

Nuvadi Dawahoya, from Hopi’s Second Mesa, began carving in 1995. His work is known for its smooth finishing, wood-burned details, and carefully painted surfaces.
