White Bear Kachina

Hand-carved from cottonwood root and hand painted by Hopi artist Tawma Lalo, this White Bear (Hon) Kachina represents one of the powerful healing spirits of the Hopi tradition. The Hon Kachina is associated with strength, protection, and healing, and is revered for its connection to the natural world.

Old-style Kachinas are traditionally made for hanging, and this carving includes a loop on the back for wall display.
