Bear Fetish

Hand-carved from Spiral Shell Marble, this Zuni bear fetish is accented with a turquoise cub secured with a traditional bundle of coral, shell, and amber. Bears are often regarded in Zuni tradition as symbols of strength, protection, and healing, making this carving a meaningful example of Zuni lapidary art.
