Navajo Storm Pattern with Birds Weaving

Storm Pattern Weaving handwoven by Navajo (Diné) weaver, Sarah Tisi. Woven in warm natural wool colors, the weaving incorporates a traditional Storm Pattern composition surrounded by an intricate pictorial border of birds, a signature of Sarah Tisi. 

The Storm Pattern is characterized by a central design connected to elements at the four corners and has long been associated with interpretations of the Diné homeland, the four sacred mountains, and lightning.
