Turquoise and Coral Snake Buckle

Hand-fabricated sterling silver belt buckle featuring a sculptural snake motif accented with natural American turquoise and Mediterranean coral. The design is built in deep relief, with applied snakes, feather elements, and silver drops arranged around a central multi-stone composition, giving the buckle strong dimensional presence and visual balance. The silver shows hand-filed edges and traditional construction consistent with mid-20th-century Native American silversmithing. The reverse is stamped “Sterling” and bears what appear to be three initials, though the first character is indistinct and cannot be confidently identified. Based on construction, materials, and design language, the buckle is confidently attributed to Native American workmanship, most likely Navajo or Zuni, though a specific maker attribution is not possible at this time.
