1980s Hopi Jar

1980s miniature Hopi-Tewa pottery jar by Bessie Namoki (1922–2010). Hand-coiled from native clay, traditionally fired, and hand-painted with polychrome mineral and vegetal pigments. The rounded jar features abstract bird and feather designs in deep brown and muted red against a warm golden slip. Signed “Bessie Namoki” on the base.
The jar exhibits noticeable rubbing and pigment loss consistent with age.
