Navajo Ganado Weaving

Ganado Weaving handwoven by Navajo (Diné) weaver Elouise Shortey. The weaving has a strong red field with geometric elements in black, gray, white, and tan. 

The rich red color associated with Ganado weaving reflects the influence of Lorenzo Hubbell, who encouraged weavers working with the Hubbell Trading Post to incorporate red prominently into their designs.
