Zuni fetish necklace by Bernard Laiwakete, featuring a hand-carved turquoise bear fetish with an inlaid coral heartline. In Zuni tradition, the bear is associated with strength, protection, healing, and introspection, while the heartline represents the life force or breath path within the animal. The necklace is strung with turquoise beads accented by pen shell beads near the back, and finished with a sterling silver clasp.
