Leonard Maloney is an accomplished Navajo silversmith based in Gallup, New Mexico. He comes from a distinguished family of Native American artists and jewelers, with renowned silversmiths Sunshine Reeves and the Cadman family among his relatives. Leonard is known for his intricate hand-stamped silverwork, created using a hammer and a wide variety of individually crafted stamps. His designs often feature beautiful turquoise stones that complement the detailed silverwork.
Leonard learned the art of silversmithing from his brother, Ron Maloney, as well as respected jewelers Tommy Jackson and Kirk Smith. Over the years, his craftsmanship has earned recognition through awards in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and his jewelry has been worn by numerous celebrities.
When he is not creating jewelry, Leonard enjoys spending time with his dog. He is also the father of three daughters and one son.
