John Coochyumptewa (b. 1950) is a distinguished Hopi silversmith from the village of Mishongnovi on Second Mesa, Arizona. He began his silversmithing career in 1976, learning the overlay technique through the Hopi Silvercraft Cooperative Guild. His hallmark is a tobacco leaf symbol, representing his membership in the Hopi Tobacco clan.
