Fresh Takes on Classic Designs

These contemporary weavings display classic, wearing-blanket patterns of the 19th century. They pay tribute to some of the earliest and most enduring patterns in Navajo art. When displayed, blanket designs are oriented so that the bar designs are horizontal. Therefore, Serape Blankets are intended to be displayed vertically, while Chief Blankets are displayed horizontally.
