The Darling Darlene mine is a small Nevada turquoise mine in the Battle Mountain region, discovered in the early 1970s by Joe Barredo. It was named for Barredo’s daughter, Darlene, and was worked on a limited scale through the 1970s, which helps explain why turquoise from this mine is not commonly seen today.

Darling Darlene turquoise is known for a strong range of color, including green, blue-green, light blue, and deeper blue material. Some sources especially note the mine for producing hard, gem-quality turquoise, with certain stones showing the kind of rich dark blue color collectors look for in Nevada material. Because production was small, Darling Darlene remains a lesser-known but very collectible mine among turquoise enthusiasts.
