Miniature Horsehair Turtle Basket

1980s miniature handwoven turtle-form basket made from naturally colored black and white horsehair. This whimsical piece showcases the exceptionally fine miniature basketry for which Tohono O’odham artists are known. The piece includes a loop that would make it suitable for wall hanging or even to be worn as a pendant.
