Hand-carved from cottonwood root and hand painted by renowned Hopi artist White Bear Fredricks, this Cross Legged (Huhuwa) Kachina was carved during the 1980s and is depicted holding ears of corn and a rattle. Carefully painted with traditional designs, the carving reflects White Bear Fredricks' distinctive style and exceptional craftsmanship. A fine example of Hopi carving from one of the tribe's most respected artists.
