Item #WN02828
Navajo Germantown Revival rug inspired by the bold Eyedazzler designs of the late 1800s, with all colored elements woven in original 3-ply Germantown wool yarn from the mills of Germantown, Pennsylvania. Ivory and black zigzag bands frame a central panel of red and speckled grey forms, accented with blue hooked motifs and crosses. Serrated maroon columns fill the grey side panels, with the weaver’s mark woven in red at the lower right. Handwoven by Navajo artist Marlowe Katoney.
