1940s coiled basket plaque with an integrated hanging loop, consistent with Tohono O’odham work. Woven over a beargrass foundation and wrapped with yucca, with dark devil’s claw used to create four bold stepped fret designs radiating around the center.
The strong black-and-natural contrast gives this plaque a graphic, classic Southwestern look. Condition: general age-related wear with some worn stitching.
