Hilili Kachina
Tribe: Hopi
Old-Style Hilili Kachina carved by Patrick Poley. Hilili is a distinctive Hopi Kachina figure with roots often associated with Acoma or Laguna Pueblo traditions. Within Hopi practice, Hilili is connected with early-season ceremonial dances and is sometimes associated with planting-season rites, where Kachinas serve as spiritual messengers bringing blessings, rain, fertility, and renewal to the community. This carving is made in an old-style format with painted details, applied feathers, fur accents, and a loop on the back for wall display.
