1970s Burnham Turquoise Necklace
Tribe: Hopi
Sterling silver overlay collar necklace made in 1976 by master Hopi silversmith Victor Coochwytewa. The necklace features the iconic Kopavi Flute Player design, a symbol of fertility, music, and joy, rendered in finely detailed overlay across four central panels. The centerpiece is set with a stunning teardrop-shaped cabochon of natural Burnham Turquoise from Nevada. Additional panels are decorated with Hopi water and cloud motifs, and the entire piece is connected with handmade sterling links and a secure hook clasp.
Part of the historic Kopavi Collection, this necklace has never been previously owned.
