Starblower Cuff

Sterling silver overlay bracelet featuring a mirrored pair of stylized figures, including the Starblower and a Hopi authority figure holding a staff. Three potent rain clouds with bold lightning bolts flank the left side of the bracelet.  The Starblower weaves his star pattern across the right side of the bracelet to the end. The Starblower is an iconic, central figure in much of Victor’s work. He is said to bring Light into darkness and reveal truth. He possesses the properties of sound vibration and light. The figures are rendered with Coochwytewa’s signature balance and symmetry, each bearing the four-point star symbol across the torso, a recurring signifier of cosmic or spiritual energy. Handmade by Victor Coochwytewa, ca. 2000s.
