Alex Sanchez

Alex Sanchez is a talented silversmith born in 1969. He is of Navajo and Zuni heritage. He was born in Gallup, New Mexico and has made his life there with his wife and three daughters. Alex is the younger brother of notable jewelers, Myron Panteah and Brad Panteah. He was inspired by his brother Myron Panteah in his 20’s while studying Sports Medicine at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

Alex’s technique is a wonderful blend of contemporary and traditional styles. Alex works in heavy gauge sterling and 14k gold. He is best known for his petroglyph patterns, often paired with vibrant stones that he carefully chooses. Alex is known for his unique combinations of design and color. 

Alex has won awards at The Red Earth Show in Oklahoma, The Gallup Ceremonial, and the Navajo Nation Fair.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his girls out in nature.
