Deer and Rain Buckle

Sterling silver belt buckle by renowned Hopi silversmith Victor Coochwytewa, crafted using his signature overlay technique. This design features a central deer figure surrounded by powerful Hopi symbols including prayer feathers (pahos), rain clouds, and rain. The deeply oxidized background contrasts beautifully with the raised polished imagery, creating bold definition and symmetry. This piece was crafted by Victor Coochwytewa in 1995.
