Hand carved and painted Hopi Old-Style Milky Way Kachina with a dark mask, protruding snout, and radiating feather headdress tipped with soft down. The figure wears a painted kilt with a snake motif, leather elements, and holds gourd rattles, with turquoise accents at the wrists. Milky Way Kachinas are associated with the night sky and the path of stars, representing movement and the connection between the spiritual and physical worlds.
