Chinle

Fine Chinle regional style Navajo weaving by Janice Vanwinkle, handwoven in wool yarns and dyed with vegetal dyes, including rabbitbrush for the soft yellow tones. The design features horizontal banding with repeating geometric motifs and serrated diamond forms in shades of brown, cream, black, gray, and yellow. The balanced composition and banded layout reflect the characteristics of the Chinle regional weaving style.
