Onyx Horse Fetish Necklace

Black onyx horse fetish necklace by Ellen Quandelacy, Zuni, featuring hand-carved onyx horse figures arranged along a single 30” strand with a traditional cotton-wrapped backing. Each horse is carved in a bold, stylized form with incised mane and tail details, small inlaid eyes, and a polished black finish. Turquoise accent beads are spaced throughout the strand, adding subtle color contrast against the black jet heishi beads. In Zuni tradition, horse fetishes are often associated with strength, endurance, and movement.
