1915 Saddle Blanket

Circa 1915 Navajo saddle blanket woven from handspun, natural undyed wool. The design features horizontal bands in ivory, brown, and soft gray tones accented by four simple cross motifs. The clean, understated pattern reflects the functional origins of early saddle blankets, where durability and balance were valued over decoration. The yarn retaina a warm, organic character, and the weave shows the sturdy construction typical of working textiles from this period.
